If green is the new buzzword in luxury travel, consider the Lefay Resort and Spa Lago di Garda in Italy an Eden-worthy luxury oasis. Located in the idyllic Italian village of Gargnano, the Lefay Resort is nestled into the hills along the banks of Lake Garada. The property’s stunning views left me immediately awestruck. I found myself taking them in for hours from the resort’s spectacular heated pool, shared by other seekers of refuge, R&R, wellness, and healthy living (and even some rugby players, too!).
Besides an overwhelming sense of space around the property, I was impressed by its eco-friendly initiatives. One of many factors that struck me about Lefay Resort’s design was their non-traditional approach to air-conditioning. Their method of temperature control involved cooling rooms using cold running water. How cool is that? Literally!
Located in the heart of the spectacular Riviera dei Limoni amidst 27 acres of natural parkland, including pine and olive groves, the resort features a luxurious contemporary eco-hotel and state of the art medi-spa.
Between the surrounding backdrop and the property’s design itself, Lefay Resort and Spa could quite simply be described as heavenly, full of light and color. My stay was nothing less than extraordinary.
This exclusive temple of wellness extends over 3,800 square meters. It provides the body and soul with rejuvenation through the rediscovery and integration of vital energy.
Accommodation options range from Prestige and Deluxe rooms to Royal Pool and Spa suites. Rooms feature terraces with lake views, bio-climatization, marble bathrooms, and bed choices from Twin to King sizes.
Dinning Experience
There are no words to fully describe, nor can photos do justice to, the culinary experience provided by Lefay’s restaurant.
La Grande Limonia, the main restaurant, offers an a la carte dinner menu and buffet breakfasts with lots of healthy options. Serving guests a gourmet experience, the menu takes a modern and eco-friendly. Staying true an approach towards the traditional Mediterranean diet, using only fresh and seasonal local produce. A ‘light’ menu is even available for guests on the resort’s weight loss program.
